SacTown Bites Launches Farm To Table Midtown Walking Food Tour
Sacramento, California – SacTown Bites – Food Tour Adventures has announced the launch of its newest tour – The Farm to Table Midtown Tour. SacTown Bites is a newly formed women-owned, small tour operator, focused on tours showcasing the bounty of the Sacramento Valley. Their tours are food and beverage focused with plans to add additional tours in the coming months.
A tour we think you'll love
The Farm to Table Midtown Tour is a 3-hour experience where groups of no more than 12 people are guided on a curated walking tour that includes up to 6 restaurant stops. At each stop, the guests are seated and enjoy a specially prepared dish, while learning about the chefs and owners, the inspiration behind the recipes, the ingredients and the farms those ingredients come from. Specially selected drink pairings are included with the Adult + Drinks ticket. The food on tours is family and vegetarian friendly. In between restaurant stops the experience also includes viewing some of Sacramento’s public art including the Capitol Box Art Project, Walk of Stars and Wide Open Walls. This tour is appropriate for all fitness levels and is wheelchair accessible. The total distance covered during the tour is approximately 1.5 miles.
The Farm to Table Midtown Tour is especially focused on the Farm to Fork and Slow Food Movements. We have partnered with a restaurant that is truly embodying those philosophies holistically in their restaurants. Our partners not only source seasonal, local ingredients, but
also put an emphasis on sustainability, fair trade, and labor practices and community engagement, including farm to every fork. We are proudly partnered with Magpie, The Porch, Lucca Restaurant, Ginger Elizabeth and Alaro Brewery.
Here is what some of our guests are saying about SacTown Bites Farm to Table Midtown Tour:
“Love letter to Sacramento, food, and art
We had a great (if a little hot) afternoon eating wonderful, fresh food and learning a ton about the slow food and farm to fork movements, Sacramento’s walk of fame, Wide Open Walls, food desert gardening initiatives, and other Sacramento art initiatives. Heather was a great guide, and we (as natives) learned a lot about our town and its restaurants. This would be a great way for a weekend (or short term) visitor to get exposed to a lot of great restaurants and the heart of Sacramento in a short, highly enjoyable package. Plenty to eat, plenty to drink (if you add on).”

“Great way to experience the food scene in Sacramento!
We really enjoyed the SacBites farm-to-fork walking food tour! This was a great intro to the Midtown food scene. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to a good mix of restaurants. The food was amazing! I will definitely go back to some of the places on the tour. Highly recommend it, even if you’re a local.”

“Such a fantastic time! The restaurant stops were all top-notch and the food excellent. The guide had the absolute perfect mix of providing interesting information regarding each restaurant/food item and allowing for the group participants to relax and enjoy the food. Bonus street art pointed out along the way. Cannot wait to join another!!”

“We had a wonderful time sampling the amazing farm to fork offerings served at the restaurants we visited and enjoyed many examples of public art around mid-town Sacramento. Heather was full of knowledge not only about food and art but had historical information about the area where we were walking. I would definitely do another of Heather’s tours if she does other restaurants or different themes. I’ve done several food walking tours and this one is tops!”
